6 Ways to Watch Monday Night Football Without Cable

We get it; you’ve just gotten home from a day on the job, and not only that but a “Monday” on the job. Lucky for you and us, it’s football season. Now it’s time to grab a bite to eat, enjoy the family, and turn on the game!

The 2020 Football season has Monday night football broadcasting on ESPN. This leaves all of us “cord cutters” wondering how to watch Monday night football without cable?

This article will discuss precisely how you can watch Monday night football without a cable subscription.

Option 1: Hulu with Live TV

Hulu with Live TV is not the cheapest option out there to get the job done. However, they do happen to have the most extensive subscriber base for a live TV streaming service in the United States. At $54.99 a month ( this will increase by $10 December 18th, 2020).

With Hulu Live TV, you get more than five dozen channels as well as the entire Hulu catalog. The question that arises then is ESPN included in Hulu Live TV? The answer is yes. With Hulu Live TV having more than 4.1 million paying subscribers and the largest live streaming service available, we don’t think that you can go wrong with this option. Especially if you plan to watch other shows and programs throughout the week, The Hulu catalog and channels available are quite robust.

To add a little more incentive to use Hulu, they also offer a free trial for Hulu Live TV. First, you will need to get a standard Hulu account, and after that, you can add Live TV and try it out for seven days for free. Once you have started the trial, you’ll receive full access to live and on-demand channels, as well as the entire streaming library.

Option 2: Sling TV

Sling TV happens to be another great option when it comes to watching NFL football games. However, it is a bit of a bummer to find out that you will need a double bundle package to watch Sunday and Monday football games.

If you are interested in Sunday afternoon and evening games, you will want to pick up the Sling Blue Plan for $30 a month. This will give you access to FOX, NBC, and the NFL Network. Unfortunately, you won’t get access to ESPN with the Blue Plan. So with Blue Plan alone, you won’t have viewing capabilities for Monday night football.

If you are interested in Monday Night Football only, you would want to look into the Sling TV orange plan. The orange plan gives you ESPN streaming capabilities, which is what Monday Night Football is broadcasted on in Season 2020 of the NFL. The orange plan also costs $30 a month.

If you are a football fanatic like us, we recommend the orange plan+blue plan for $45 a month. This allows you to view the most amount of football games with your Sling TV.

Option 3: FuboTV

FuboTV is another popular choice among football fans. The basic family plan starts at $64.99 per month. The family plan gives access to Local CBS, NBC, and FOX allowing you to watch most Sunday local games. Fubo TV’s family plan also allows for streaming ESPN for Monday night football games, as well as NFL network for watching Thursday night football.

Option 4: YouTube TV

$64.99 a month is the base price for YouTube TV. Youtube TV is another great package that offers most NFL games. Like others at this price range, you get access to all local channels, including CBS, FOX, and NBC. One of the best things about the YouTube TV basic package is that ESPN and the NFL Network are included. This will guarantee that you can have access to Monday and Thursday night football games.

Option 5: NFL Sunday Ticket

The NFL Sunday Ticket used only to be available to those with a cable subscription. This is no longer the case, allowing more football fans to jump on board the Sunday Ticket train. There are two packages available, and get ready to shed out a pretty penny. Both plans are around the 300 dollar marker. The first package available in the NFL Sunday Ticket To Go Plan… this plan allows you to watch all out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. It doesn’t, however, offer Monday and Thursday evening games. So if you choose to go this route, you would still need a way to stream ESPN on Monday evenings and the NFL Network on Thursday evenings. The NFL Sunday Ticket Max is more for those involved in fantasy football, as it boasts of being the first channel that watches football through the eyes of a fantasy football champion!

Option 6: HDMI Antenna

Lastly, it’s important to remember that if you’re strictly looking for local games, even a simple HDMI Antenna can do the trick and allow for you to access local channels that will be playing the home team game on Sunday’s.

If you are looking for Monday night football games, you will need to find an ESPN streaming solution. At last, if Thursday games are what you are after, you will need to have a way to stream the NFL network channel. With six viable options available, it is safe to say that there are many possible ways to watch Monday night football without cable.
